The process begins with you determining what you would like to change about your yard, or add to the area. It might be that you want lots of low maintenance hardscape, or perhaps you want masses of colorful flower beds. Obviously, every project is as unique as the client and we want to create a landscape that is just right for you! We also need to know what the budget for the project is. This helps us scale the project to meet your situation – it’s of no use to anyone to come up with a plan that is way outside a realistic budget. It is possible to come up with a plan to complete the work in stages, but a budget for the initial step is still very important.

The next part is easy – call Clements Landscape Construction to schedule an appointment! We are a landscape company in Rancho Cucamonga. We’ll come out to walk off the area with you, discuss your vision and make suggestions. We’ll also go over the different materials and techniques that can be used to put it all together to achieve the result you’re after.

We take measurements of the area and our notes from the discussion back to our office to prepare a detailed estimate. The estimate may take up to two weeks, please feel free to call us during this time to add any details (for example “I hate bees” or “I want a water feature”) that we should take into consideration. When the estimate is completed we like to meet with the homeowner to review the estimate and a basic layout of the project in person. That gives everyone the opportunity to ask questions and clarify exactly how the project would move forward. If our estimate is within your budget and everything looks good we move on to the next step.

The next step is writing the contract. We include a start date and target completion date, a detailed description of the work to be done as well as a payment schedule that is tied to benchmarks. Most projects also require a scale drawing with a detailed planting and hardscape plan (concrete, flagstone, pavers, etc.) as well as any other features such as patio covers and fire pits clearly labeled and described.
